If you think about it, it is much cheaper for a man to receive oral sex than it is to sleep with a woman. Maybe you bring your date to Outback instead of Ruth's Chris, probably she will be upset and you will be going to sleep alone, but if you play your cards right you won't go to sleep completely unsatisfied.
Here are a few reasons:
Less Commitment: Some ladies won't sleep with you on first date, the standards for oral sex are substantially lower. This means by limiting your relationships to one night, and you don't need to buy gifts for her birthday, Valentine's Day, Christmas, and various other useless holidays, which will save you loads of money. Also, most women think they own you after they sleep with you, which is a costly situation (if you are a nice guy).
No condom: Normally it will be a few times with a lady for her to trust you to go unprotected, which means you have to purchase condom ($1.00 for a decent one). Oral eliminates this need, saving money.
No pregnancy risk: If you stick to oral you won't have woman calling a couple of months later saying her period is late, blah blah blah. Even if you're careful, condoms break, birth control fails, and vasectomies are botched. Regardless of what happens you won't have to pay for abortion, you won't owe child support, your wages won't be garnished, and you won't have to pay $250,000 over 18 year period for one night of pleasure, you won't have to relocate to South America to avoid paying.
Low STD risk: Generally the risk of STD transmission with oral sex is low, it is not zero, but lower than normal sex. This means smaller chance you will run up costly co-pays for doctor visits and medications.
No Pills: Sometimes it is nice to pop a Viagra before sleeping with a woman (especially after long night of alcohol), this is simply never necessary with oral. Cost savings: $10.00.
Furniture Wear: Fast and furious bedroom action may cause wear and tear on your bed, especially the springs, which can be costly especially if like me you just bought new bed. Meanwhile oral sex can be performed in a chair, car seat, or other locations, reducing wear and tear on your belongings.
Anyways there is a lot of talk in the blogs about cheap vs. frugal. I'm not certain I really know the difference, but I wonder if opting out of sleeping with a woman for the cost savings would be considered frugal, or just cheap? Probably more cheap, but it seems to have a certain aura of efficiency and sustainability which suggests more frugal. The distinction doesn't matter too much to me, I will do whatever saves me a buck.

Oral Sex: Frugal or just cheap?

Many STDS can be spread by oral-genital contact. Invest in a condom.
Lol, are you serious? This is why I love your blog.
Anyway, herpes can be spread to you by oral, and probably other things. Beware.
And I don't know if it is cheap OR frugal. There has to be another word for this. Crass? :)
I agree with stackingpennies. The limit to your frugality is limitless. Never once did I think how I could save a dollar when it came to a date. Screw Outback I'm going to McDonalds :P
Okay, this is now my new favorite blog. Head is great but you can still get a std.
Why would you think you don't need a condom for oral sex? Are you just ignorant?
"you don't need to buy gifts for her birthday, Valentine's Day, Christmas, and various other useless holidays, which will save you loads of money"
Why? Is there a law you have to buy your significant other gifts? Not everyone panders to this. Think outside the box.
"Most women think they own you after they sleep with you"
Er, NO. I don't think you're much of a catch, frankly.
Perhaps you should invest in some good, nourishing food to get your brain working properly first before you attmpt to discuss these things! o.O
It better be oral both ways. Although you sound too selfish to make sure your one-night lady gets off, too. AT LEAST, a good finger fuck.
Its hard to imagine combining frugal and sex together in any fashion. Women's libido seems to be hard wired to a man's spending. They scrutinize social status, cars, housing, jobs, hobbies, furniture, clothing, grooming, restaurant knowledge, club knowledge, etc. Things that indicate some degree of alpha male'ness, "provider" potential.
But if you can get BJ's on the cheap, saving a $1 on a condom, by all means!
Perhaps I viewed this more seriously than I should have, but I wouldn't recommend doing anything sexual without a condom for a one-night lady. If that's something they're into, who knows what they'll be giving to you (do you know where their mouth has been?!!!).
Entertaining as usual :)
I don't think this was meant as a SERIOUS post. I think it was just written to be funny (I hope) but then this type of humor does not appeal to everyone. :-)
Ha ha. Frugal bachelor, you're crazy. I think you should factor in the cost of a co-pay to the doctor and for your penicillin prescription. I think you have given those figures before of about $20 + $10? So say $30 to fix a STD you CAN get rid of... Maybe only 2% of blowjobs by "that kind of girl" giving you a disease... Maybe that would be cheaper than condoms. But what if you catch herpes? You can't get rid of it and the ladies usually don't want to suck on a blistered knob. In that case you may have to pay a lot MORE to get some relief. So perhaps you will realize short term savings, but I think in the long term it will probably cost you more. To each his own though!
